New website for Harvest View Bed & Breakfast in Cambridge

We are pleased to present our latest website build for the Harvest View bed & breakfast in Cambridge.

Harvest View is a long established bed & breakfast based near the village of Coton in Cambridge. They came to us looking to update their existing site which had been running for several years but was in need of an overhaul.

When we first started working with Alyson, the owner of Harvest View, it was evident we could do much more than simply update the site as it was.

Firstly the old site was not responsive, meaning it didn’t work too well on mobile devices. With more than 50% of searches now happening on mobiles this was a key part to the upgrade.

It was also apparent the booking system could be modernised. Previously the team had taken bookings via email or phone but with the availability of online hotel booking systems we were able to offer Alyson a good quality solution that would tie in directly to her existing payment provider, Worldpay.

A Joomla website was built, with the existing pages of content copied in and the room booking system set-up, which included the option to allow single occupancy reservations.

As the site was built to work on mobile devices the modern code also ensures the site is search engine ready and will serve the team at Harvest View well for many years to come.
