Website rebuild for Better Student Homes

A few months ago we were contacted by Andy from Better Student Homes. His website that promotes student property lets in the York area was quite old and had unfortunately been hacked causing his hosting company to threaten to take down the site.

We initially helped fix the hacking issues but as the website was several years old and would only work on older server software problems continued to occur. After doing everything we could the only option was to rebuild the site using modern techniques. A rebuild also gave Andy the opportunity to have a content management system included making it easier in future to make updates as well as ensuring the website was mobile friendly, especially important with his demographic of younger visitors all using phones and tablets.

Andy was happy with the design of the site, so that made it a quicker process to rebuild the site as it was. We chose the WordPress content management system, due to its ease of making updates and put the new website together within one-week meeting Andy’s deadline as the last quarter of the year being his busiest time of year.
