Website support FAQ’s
Is it better for me to have ad-hoc website support or ongoing website support?
Choose ad-hoc website support if you have a basic website with occasional issues and want flexibility when you seek help.
Opt for ongoing website support if your website is crucial to your business. This provides regular maintenance, faster issue resolution, and enhanced security. The decision depends on your website's complexity, budget, and importance in your business strategy.
What is the best way to get in touch if I need support for my website?
You can get in touch by completing the contact form on our contact page.
If you prefer, you can contact us at +44 (0)1483 338 987 or drop us an email to info@swsweb.co.uk.
How often should I consider website support for my site?
The frequency of website support depends on the complexity and needs of your site. Small business websites may require monthly support, while larger, more complex sites may need weekly or even daily monitoring and updates to ensure peak performance and security.
Can I carry out website support tasks on my own, or should I hire a professional?
While website owners can handle basic website support tasks, it is recommended that they hire a professional or a web development agency for comprehensive support.
Professionals have the expertise to address complex technical issues, security threats, and performance optimisations, allowing you to focus on your core business activities. This also prevents anything from accidentally going wrong on the website.
How much do your ad-hoc website support services cost?
Our ad-hoc website support rates are £35 per hour, plus VAT, and we'll quote you in advance, so there are no big surprises.
We have a minimum charge of one hour, but charge by the minute after that. If your website support request only takes ten minutes, we'll try and find other changes, such as performing plugin updates to use the full hour where possible.
We invoice on 30-day terms and accept bank transfers, direct debit or debit/credit cards.
