MOBAA Awards website build

Two years ago, Modern Barber magazine approached Simply. Website Support to update their existing website, a WordPress website that promotes their quarterly magazine which is devoted to the UK’s barbering industry (and their clients). The magazine has been reflecting the industries glory for four years but they also wanted to give barbers the chance to be recognised and rewarded in a more tangible way.

They created The MOBAA’s – Modern Barber Awards, the industry’s only dedicated awards platform that celebrates both creative and commercial success.

The team wanted a website that reflected their existing brand but was dedicated to the awards and simple for barbers to find out information and enter.

We built the website using an existing (off the shelf) WordPress theme, adusting it to suite the Modern Baraber brand colours and incorporated an entry form system.

Entrants select the category (or categories) that best reflects their strengths, fill in the online entry form, upload images and press SUBMIT. The website form system captures all the information in a database which can be exported and easily disseminated for review by the judging panel.

The MOBAA’s culminates in a classy shindig in Soho, London on Sunday May 13th 2018.

As well as creating the new website, Simply Website Support also hosts it and keeps it regularly backed up.
