A new website build for a local dog kennels and cattery

With two of us being dog owners we were very pleased to help local dog kennels and cattery business Oak Ride Farm based in Send, Woking. They were looking for a new website to give the company a freshen up as well as a boost up the search engine rankings.

Their existing website used a system hosted by their previous developer who was being less than helpful when it came to making updates and pricing a new site build.

At Simpy. Website Support we only build sites using open sources content management systems such as WordPress or Joomla, ensuring you can always move the site elsewhere should it ever be necessary.

We visited Oak Ride Farm and had a chat with the team to see what they wanted to get out of the refreshed website. Once we put together a list of requirements, we recommended a WordPress site giving them flexibility in future and ease of updating content.

It was decided to use an existing WordPress theme to keep costs down. Pre-made themes have the benefit of making the build faster and reducing the cost associated with designing a unique site.

A new sitemap of pages was created and content aligned towards better search engine optimisation. The aim as with any website to get higher up the search engine rankings.

The build took approximately two weeks and has been a big hit with the team at Oak Ride Farm as well as customers, particularly able to find pricing and information much more efficiently than before.
